“La Quinceañera” depicts the celebration of a Catholic girl’s 15th birthday. Johnathan Martinez’s bold and vibrant colors and the painting of his subjects without faces draw the viewer in while reinforcing the ideals of family, love, friendship, and the joy of living life.
This is Johnathan’s first mural for Ramona, although he has been actively involved in the community with his art for many years. He helped raise funds for the H.E.A.R.T. Mural Project by painting wine barrels for the Ramona Art and Wine Festival. He also painted two utility boxes outside the Women’s Club at 524 Main St., Ramona.
